We are

• To provide different services that could align with the developmental needs of students
• To provide to all students, irrespective of their abilities, orientations and levels of study
• To be means of empowerment for students to make informed and responsible choices on their learning, career goals and other aspects of life
• To encourage students to make study/career decisions in accordance with their interests, abilities and orientations
• To promote career development of students that help them for actualising individuals’ potential
• To assist students in managing and adapting to the transition from school to work, and prepare them for life-long learning

 

 

 

6-year Career Development Curriculum in CMACCK

 

Junior Forms (S1-S3)	Students are: to recognize own strengths and skills and understand their personal values and core beliefs to is to identify and explore students’ personal interests to understand students’ own interests (RIASEC), values, and personality traits
Senior Forms (S4-S6)	Students are: differentiate and clarify their short-term and long-term career goals to increase their awareness of various career options and pathways to exercise self-reflection and self-assessment to embrace curiosity and explore diverse areas of interest

 

2. What is Life Planning?

Life planning is an ongoing and lifelong process for personal fulfillment, with different foci at different stages of the life time.

 

At the schooling stage, life planning education plays a significant role in fostering students’ self-understanding, personal planning, goal setting, reflective habits of mind and articulation to progression pathways.。

 

Hence, life planning education is not merely a remedial or advisory service for students when they are in need of making subject or career choice. It connects with school’s curriculum components, and through it students are equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitude to make wise choices in accordance with their interests, abilities and orientations; and guided to integrate their career/academic aspirations with whole-person development and life-long learning.
